About Us

No Partner Left Behind

We get it—being a partner in parenthood can sometimes feel like an afterthought. Whether you’re a dad, an LGBTQ+ partner, or any non-birthing parent, the world often shines its spotlight on new moms. At The Partner’s Place, we’re here to flip the script. We believe every partner’s journey matters, and no one should ever feel unprepared or alone.

Our mission is simple: offer a safe haven where you can find the North Shore family guidance you need, connect with mental health services, or even locate co-parent therapy—all without judgment.

We’re here for the postpartum depression dad who feels isolated, the partner juggling work and baby schedules, and the one searching for a pregnancy loss support group to process a heartbreaking loss. It’s also for the person just looking to hang out, network, and meet new people. If you’re looking for support for fathers or seeking to protect your well-being through dads mental health resources, you’re in the right place.

Through community events, resource-sharing, and specialized referrals, we aim to empower every parenting partner. No matter where you’re at in your journey, The Partner’s Place is committed to ensuring that your voice is heard and your needs are met.

Come thrive with us. It’s time to feel seen, supported, and truly valued as a co-parent and caretaker. Because parenthood takes two—and we refuse to leave anyone behind.

Meet Erik, Founder of The Partners Place

Erik Auerbach

Erik Auerbach

Founder

The son of an emergency physician and an OBGYN, Erik was exposed to the world of medicine and newborn care from a young age. His parents’ dedication to their fields influenced his own passion for helping others. After receiving his EMT license from Northeastern University, Erik worked as an EMT on an ambulance in the Greater Boston area for nearly a decade, focusing on dialysis and dementia patients. He also spent time training and educating incoming first responders, before studying nursing at Regis College and ultimately completing a BA in hospitality and event management.

Erik’s personal journey into parenthood was a turning point. After experiencing an early pregnancy loss, he and his wife welcomed their “rainbow baby” just one month into the COVID-19 lockdown. Their daughter’s “failure to thrive” diagnosis and subsequent need for a feeding tube brought many challenges, and navigating postpartum care felt especially isolating for Erik as a partner. Five years later, when his second daughter was born, Erik again noticed a stark lack of supportive infrastructure for partners.

In response, Erik founded The Partner’s Place to address that gap. Drawing on his background in healthcare, education, and hospitality, he aims to provide a comprehensive hub where parenting partners can access educational resources, share their stories, and find much-needed community. Erik lives in Lynn, Massachusetts, with his wife Elizabeth, daughters Zoey and Raya, and their puppy Nala. Beyond devoting time to his family, he also loves film, live music, nature, and spending time at the beach.

At The Partner’s Place, we champion the unsung heroes of parenthood—dads, LGBTQ+ partners, and more—offering essential resources, events, and community so no partner ever feels overlooked or alone.
