Last weekend, something awesome happened. The dads descended upon Tree House Brewing in
Tewksbury, MA, for a meet-up that was, in a word, legendary. The weather was perfect, the beer was
cold, and the company was even better. Let’s dive into what made this dad gathering so special.
The Turnout: Dads Assemble!
We were expecting a decent crowd, but the actual turnout blew us away. Around 25 dads showed up,
ready to enjoy some top-notch brews and connect with fellow fathers. It was fantastic to see so many
guys taking a break from diaper duty and work deadlines to just relax and hang out.
Family Fun on the Green
In addition to the turnout, what made this event so space was the space. The Tewksbury Location of
Tree House Brewery setting hosts a gorgeous golf course as its back drop with a magnificent great
hall, a “Tree House” upstairs, and multiple patios and decks. The great hall had more than enough
room to host our group, as we were able to take over one of their long tables. The older kids were
able to run around and enjoy the open space! The beers speak for themselves, though I naturally had
to go with ‘Galactic Storm’ the imperial IPA for Star Wars Day. The adults were able to mingle, tell
some dad jokes, and relax. Huge shoutout to Tree House for providing a beautiful location!
Seeing some kids play while the dads and partners shared stories, laughs, and tips was
heartwarming. It was a great reminder that being a dad is also about practicing self-care and allowing
yourself time to recharge; it’s about building connections and creating memories. Kids (of all ages)
even got in on sampling the delicious pizza provided at Tree House!
Why Dad Meetups Matter
Dad meetups are more than just an excuse to drink beer (although that’s a definite perk!). They
provide a vital support system for fathers. Being a dad can be challenging, and having a community
of guys who understand what you’re going through can make all the difference. Sharing experiences,
swapping advice, and just knowing you’re not alone can be incredibly beneficial.
